Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Interview Ninja (“the Service”), operated at interview.ninja, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Interview Ninja is an AI-powered mock interview platform that helps users practise for job interviews. The Service provides simulated interviews across multiple formats (behavioural, technical, role-fit, and case-study) with AI-generated evaluation, performance analytics, and speech analysis.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using Firebase Authentication. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Interview Ninja offers the following subscription plans:

• Free: 3 interview credits per month, up to 2 questions per session, behavioural interviews only. No payment required.
• Pro ($10/month): 30 interview credits per month, up to 7 questions per session, access to all interview types (behavioural, technical, role-fit, and case-study).

We reserve the right to modify pricing and plan features at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes at least 30 days in advance.

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed by Stripe. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

6. Credit System

Interview sessions consume credits based on the number of questions: 2–3 questions cost 1 credit, 5 questions cost 2 credits, and 7 questions cost 3 credits. Credits are allocated monthly and do not roll over. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. When you start a session, credits are reserved and consumed upon completion.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
• Attempt to manipulate or game the AI evaluation system
• Submit offensive, abusive, or illegal content during interview sessions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Interview evaluations, feedback, and scores are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) and are provided for educational and practice purposes only. This content does not constitute professional career advice, employment counselling, or any guarantee of interview success. The STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) and LLL (Label, Land, Leave) frameworks used for evaluation are educational tools and may not reflect the specific criteria of any particular employer.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Interview Ninja and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you provide during interview sessions (your responses). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content as necessary to provide the Service, including sending it to third-party AI providers for evaluation.

10. Speech and Audio Data

The Service uses your browser's Speech-to-Text API to convert spoken responses into text. Audio processing occurs locally in your browser. Text transcriptions are transmitted to our servers for AI evaluation. Interviewer responses are converted to speech using ElevenLabs' text-to-speech service. By using the voice features, you consent to this processing.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Interview Ninja and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
